Athletic Trainer
Josh PennyFormer
University of North Alabama graduate assistant trainer Josh Penny is
in his second year as head athletic trainer with the Lions.
Penny, a 1999 graduate of the University of West Alabama, served as
a graduate assistant at UNA from 1999-2002 before going to work at
Health South. He returned to UNA to replace Phil Cross, who
resigned at the end of May, 2003 after 27 years at the school,
including the last 14 as head trainer.
Penny, who is certified by the
National Athletic Trainers Association, worked as an athletic
trainer in Health South's High School Outreach Program in 2002-03.
He also served as an assistant trainer at the Kelly Tires Blue-Gray
Game All-Star Football Classic from 1999-2001.
