UNA 2007: Shepherd played in 34 games last
season with 24 starts in the outfield. He hit .265,
going 22-of-83 at the plate with 16 runs scored and 14
runs batted in. He had six doubles, walked 10 times, was
hit-by-pitch twice and was six-of-seven on stolen base
attempts. He added five sacrifice bunts. He had five
multiple hit games and three multiple-RBI games. In the
field he had an .895 percentage with four errors, 32
putouts and two assists.
JUNIOR COLLEGE: He played at Bevill State
Community College in Fayette, Ala., under coach Joey
May. The Bears reached the state tournament his freshman
season. He hit .320 with 27 stolen bases at Bevill. In
addition, he played on three state championship American
Legion teams in 2003, 2004 and 2005.
HIGH SCHOOL: He played center field at
Tuscaloosa County High School under coach Kenny Burns.
PERSONAL: Full name is Jarrett Langdon
Shepherd. Born on April 2, 1986. He is the son of Bill
and Sharron Shepherd and has one brother. Majoring in
Business Management.
