senior outfielder Josh Phillips of Cullman
has been selected Gulf South Conference East
Division Baseball Player of the Week for
March 4 by the league office.
A two-year
starter at UNA, Phillips accounted for 15
runs last week as the leadoff hitter for the
Lions. He ripped three triples and swiped
three bases as UNA went 3-0-1. The senior
scored seven runs on as many hits and drove
in four more against GLVC opponent Drury
over the weekend. he finished the week with
nine runs, eight hits, six RBIs, four walks
and a double.
