LIONS DROP BASEBALL GAME AT OBU

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. --Ouachita Baptist pounded 17 hits and got a complete-game pitching performance as the Tigers down North Alabama 13-3 Wednesday in a non-conference game at Rab Rodgers Field.  The loss drops UNA to 19-13-1 overall, while OBU improved to 32-2. UNA got a run in the first inning and added two more in the third, but the Ouachita Baptist hitters scored in each of the first five innings and led 12-3 after five. Another run in the seventh ended the game.

Pat Allison took the loss for UNA after being knocked out of the game after two innings. He allowed five hits and five runs. Brandon Foster, Eli Fuller and Frank Dougherty also pitched for UNA.  Josh Phillips led UNA with a 3-for-4 performance and scored two runs.  Matt Horton and Daniel Johnson also had two hits each. The bottom five spots in the UNA lineup were a combined 0-for-15.  The Lions play at Southern Arkansas Thursday before returning home to host Montevallo this Saturday and Sunday.
