be North Alabama's only hit of the game
Sunday as the Lions dropped a 10-0 decision
to Delta State at Ferris Field.
UNA, now 3-4
overall, allowed single runs in the first
and second innings but it remained 2-0 into
the fifth.
After Delta
State added two more runs, the Statesmen
closed the game with four more runs in the
seventh and two in the eighth.
Derrick Simpson (0-1) took the loss for UNA.
Brandon Foster, Jordan West and Pat Allison
also pitched for the Lions. UNA was a
combined 1-for-24 at the plate. Delta State
had 10 runs on 11 hits.
