PENSACOLA, Fla.
-- Josh Graham had three hits and
accounted for five runs Saturday as the
North Alabama baseball team rallied for a
12-5 in the final game of a three-game Gulf
South Conference series at West Florida.
UNA dropped a
double-header to UWF on Friday but scored 12
runs on 19 hits and left 15 men on base in
winning the series finale.
UNA held a 1-0
lead through four innings but then scored 11
runs over the final four innings for the
rout. The top six players in UNA's batting
order all had two or more hits, with Graham
going three-for-four with three runs scored
and two runs batted in. Second baseman Matt
Horton was four-for-five with two runs
scored and Trey Pollard added three hits.
Brennen
Auerback started and pitched the first four
and 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on four
hits with two walks and one strikeout. Ryan
Miller pitched the next two innings in
relief and earned the win, allowing two runs
on two hits. Matt Vandenheuvel also pitched
two innings and freshman Trey Mitchell came
on to record the final out.
UNA is now 18-9
overall and 3-3 in the GSC. West Florida is
15-18 and 3-3.
