LIVINGSTON, Ala. -- An 8-5 loss Sunday at West Alabama has dropped the University of North Alabama baseball team into a tie for fourth place in the Gulf South Conference East Division with one three-game series to play.

UNA trailed 4-0 early before Josh Graham blasted a three-run homer in the fourth to get the Lions back in the game. The Tigers added four more runs in the sixth for an 8-3 lead, and single runs by UNA in the seventh and eighth innings weren't enough.

The Lions are now 26-19 overall and 6-9 in the GSC. North Alabama is tied with Alabama-Huntsville for the fourth and final East Division spot in the GSC Tournament and the Lions and Chargers meet this Saturday and Sunday in Florence in a three-game series.

Brennen Auerbach (4-3) took the loss in just two innings of work as he allowed three runs on two hits and walked four. Jeff Schafer allowed three runs in 3 1/3 innings and Todd Bryan allowed two runs in 1/3 of an inning.

Matt Vandenheuvel pitched the final 2 1/3 innings and allowed no runs on two hits.

Collin Murphy, Jeffery Ritter and Trey Pollard had two hits each for UNA.

The Lions host Union on Wednesday in a double-header.
