FLORENCE
-- Several members of the University
of North Alabama baseball team are
staying busy this summer playing in
various summer leagues across the
nation.
Pitcher Mitch Handley and
outfielder/pitcher Chase Porch are
spending their summer in Alexandria,
Minn., playing for the Alexandria
Beetles of the Northwoods League.
Pitcher Trey Mitchell is in Fort
Collins, Colo., playing for the Fort
Collins Foxes who are a member of
the Mountain College Baseball
League.
Middle infielder Blake Stroth, who
will be joining the Lions this fall
from Kansas City Kansas Community
College, is playing for the Topeka
Golden Giants in Topeka, Kan. The
Golden Giants are a member of the
M.IN.K. League.
Pitchers Chad Boughner and Kevin
Henry are playing closer to home
with the Union City Greyhounds in
Union City, TN. The Greyhounds are a
member of the K.I.T. League.
