LIONS PICKED FOURTH IN GSC EAST IN BASEBALL
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.
-- The University of North Alabama baseball
team has been picked to finish fourth in the
Gulf South Conference East Division in a
pre-season poll of the league's head
coaches.
UNA, set to begin its second season under
Mike Keehn, finished 32-20 last season. The
Lions return just two position starters, in
addition to several pitchers.
UNA senior second baseman Dewayne Gunn of
Tuscumbia was selected for the pre-season
All-GSC team. Gunn earned second-team All-GSC
honors in 2009.
Southern Arkansas, the 2009 GSC champ, was
picked to repeat as GSC champion in 2010.
