Thousands of youngsters from across the
Shoals area will have the opportunity to
attend University of North Alabama home
athletic events for free, thanks to a new
Credit Union Ticket Program named CUTiP.
Lion fans can stop by any branch of
Listerhill Credit Union, Valley Credit
Union, TVA Credit Union, Florence Federal
Credit Union or Champion Community Credit
Union and pick up vouchers good for free
admission for youth 13-and-under to any UNA
regular-season home athletic event.
The youngsters can then redeem the vouchers
on game day at the UNA ticket booth for
admission to a Lion football, men’s
basketball, women’s basketball, baseball or
softball game.
Additional vouchers can be picked up at the
credit unions and redeemed at Lion games
throughout the year.
"Our athletics’ department believes that we
have a responsibility to invest into our
community," said UNA Athletic Director Mark
Linder. "We understand that we have a great
platform to make a positive difference in
the lives of others and have the influence
to inspire excellence.
"As a department, we are always considering
how we can promote UNA athletics as
affordable family fun. This program allows
families to attend UNA athletics events on a
regular basis and become more engaged with
our UNA family," Linder added. "Along with
other departments on campus, we will
continue to seek additional opportunities to
become more involved in the Shoals.
"We are truly excited about this new
partnership with the local credit unions."
