UWF enters the
final 18 holes in first place after firing a
combined –3, 573, just one shot ahead of
second-place UNA's –2, 572. The Lions shot
the top round of the day, shooting 284 in
the Tournament's first 18 holes.
Valdosta State
and Arkansas Tech are in striking distance
after finishing third and fourth,
respectively. VSU finished with a +2, 578,
while ATU shot a +6, 582. West Georgia (+18,
594) rounds out the Top Five, while just one
shot separates Harding (+26, 602) and
Henderson State (+27, 603). Montevallo (+29,
605) finished eighth, followed by Ouachita
Baptist (+40, 616), Delta State (+41, 617),
Christian Brothers (+64, 640), Southern
Arkansas (+105, 681) and Arkansas-Monticello
(+146, 722).
Individually,
ten players completed 36 holes shooting
under-par, including six players who are
tied for fifth place. VSU's Jason Flowers
entered the clubhouse atop the leaderboard,
firing a –6, 138 thanks to a Tournament-low
round of 66 in the second 18 holes of play.
North Alabama's
Daniel Creel finished one-shot behind (-5,
139), followed by HSU's Ben Cuzen (-4, 140)
and Valdosta State's Josh Tompkins (-2,
142). Six players are tied for fifth place
at –1 (143), including ATU's Jarred Carlyle,
UNA's Wes Smith, UWG's Nelson Alvarez and
UWF trio David Lingmerth, Matthew Galloway
and Federico Damus.
The Tournament
concludes tomorrow morning with the final 18
holes scheduled to tee off at 8:00 a.m.
