shots back and couldn't make up any ground
as West Florida finished with a final round
282, capturing its third straight Blue Cross
Blue Shield/Gulf South Conference Men's Golf
Championship played at Hot Springs Country
Club in Hot Springs, AR.
UWF entered the
final 18 holes with a nine-shot lead over
North Alabama, and held on to the top spot
despite a Valdosta State run with a
tournament-best 280 on the day.
UNA ranked
second (870), while VSU (877), West Georgia
(887) and Arkansas Tech (890) rounded out
the Top Five. Completing the Top 10 were
Henderson State (895), Delta State (910),
Montevallo (923), Ouachita Baptist (925) and
Harding (927). Rounding out the 13-team
field were Christian Brothers (930),
Southern Arkansas (953) and
Arkansas-Monticello (1,028).
Individually,
UWF's Tobias Rosendahl led the
All-Tournament Team as the GSC Individual
Medalist by firing a -7, 212. Valdosta
State's Brent Witcher, North Alabama's
Daniel Creel and UWF's Kyle Scott tied for
second (213), while West Florida's Matthew
Galloway ranked fifth (216). Wrapping up
All-Tournament honors were five players who
tied for sixth (217): ATU's Jarred Carlyle,
HU's Dusty Gourley, HSU's Jack Bartlett,
UNA's Wes Smith and UWG's Zach Lassetter.
Creel was the
defending GSC individual champion.
