AUSTIN, Texas
--Wes Smith and Brett Munson turned in
rounds of 68 and 71 respectively to help the
University of North Alabama move up one spot
to third after two rounds of the NCAA
Division II South Regional Tournament.
The Lions moved
past Florida Southern into third place but
dropped seven strokes to West Florida. The
Argonauts held a 10-stroke lead over UNA
after the first round and extended its lead
to 17. Nova Southeastern is second at 564.
Wes Smith is
tied for seventh at 142, Munson is tied for
11th at 144 and Daniel Creel is tied for
17th at 145.
North Alabama
is trying to earn its eighth trip to the
Division II National Championship Tournament
and third straight.
The tournament
concludes on Wednesday.
