HEAD GOLF COACH STUART CLARK

Return to UNA Golf Homepage >>>

Former University of North Alabama golfer Stuart Clark has returned to the program as the interim head coach, following the retirement of long-time coach Billy Gamble.

A former UNA All-American, Clark helped place the UNA program at the level of national prominence that it currently enjoys.

As a player with the Lions, Clark won the Gulf South Conference individual championship in 1996 and won five other collegiate tournaments. He earned All-GSC honors in 1996 and 1999, was All-South Region in 1999 and was an All-American selection as well as a senior. He was the UNA golf team’s MVP from 1996 to 1999.

Following his graduation from UNA with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and Marketing major in 1999, Clark played professionally on the Tight Lies, Developmental Players and Hooters Tours. He served as assistant and then head golf coach at Northwest-Shoals Community College from 2002 to 2007.

Originally from Muscle Shoals, Clark is married to UNA Marketing Professor Melissa Nesbitt Clark and they have two children, Jackson and Kate.
