Coming off an 11-1 season that saw the Lions win the Gulf South Conference Championship and advance to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II playoffs, the Lions are hoping to fill gaps left by the departure of 15 seniors from that squad.

UNA’s signees included 19 student-athletes who are expected to play on the defensive side of the ball.

North Alabama signed nine linebackers, five defensive backs and five defensive linemen. On offense, the Lions added six linemen, five receivers and a quarterback.
