Don Faint(Basketball 1968-71, Tennis 1971)

Lettered four years in basketball from 1968-71, and also played tennis in 1971. He scored 1,212 career points in basketball  to rank ninth on the Lions all-time list at the time of his induction. He also pulled 908 rebounds for a 9.9 average.

He holds the school record for consecutive starts at 91 and also holds the record for most times to foul out at 41 and most career personal fouls at 370. He led the team in scoring in 1969 with 325 points, and in rebounding in 1968 (199) and 1971 (276). He led the Lions in field goal percentage in 1971 at 52.3. His top career scoring game was 34 against Huntingdon in 1971.

A native of Huntsville, Ala., Faint graduated from UNA in 1971 with a B.S. degree in Chemistry. He then served his career in the military, retiring as a Colonel in February of 1998. During his career he served as a Batallion and a Brigade Commander in Military Intelligence at Fort Bragg, N.C.
