three-point baskets and Ouachita Baptist was
0-for-13 from behind the line in the second
half as the Lions downed the Tigers 78-64 at
Flowers Hall.
In their last
tune-up before the Gulf South Conference
schedule begins, UNA built a 34-30 lead at
the half and outscored the Tigers 44-
34 over the final 20 minutes.
Quinn Beckwith
led the way for UNA with 23 points,
including 6-of-8 shooting on three-pointers.
Milton Nance added 19 and Esmir Guzonjic 14.
Derrick Woods led OBU with 14, Brandon
Dawson had 13 and Jaranimo Marks 12.
The Tigers
outrebounded the Lions 36-25 but poor
shooting doomed OBU's chances. UNA is
now 7-8 overall, while Ouachita Baptist
falls to 4-7.
