BOCA RATON, Fla.. – North Alabama scored the first 11
points of the second half to quickly stretch a one-point half-time
lead into double digits en route to a 79-62 victory over Lynn Monday
evening in Boca Raton, Fla.
Casey Holt
scored 13 of his game-high 25 points in the final 20 minutes of play
as the Lions outscored Lynn 44-28. Kenny Johnson added 18 points for
UNA while Andrew Chesney recorded 16 and Thomas Fraise tossed in 10
on the night.
Lynn (4-4)
scored the first seven points of the game before a jumper by Holt
put the Lions on the scoreboard at the 16:53 mark. UNA was able to
cut into the lead by shooting 50 percent from the floor and take a
35-34 advantage at the break.
The win gives
the Lions a 2-0 record on its road swing that began at Clayton State
on Saturday. Both games are key victories in regional play. UNA is
now 9-4 on the year and will play at Northern Kentucky on Dec. 29.
