BIRMINGHAM – For the second straight week, North Alabama
guard Casey Holt has been named the Gulf South Conference East
Division’s Player of the Week. The senior collects his second
straight honor after leading UNA to a 2-0 week, averaging 24.5
points, 10 rebounds and three assists in a pair of home games.
One week after
winning the award for the first time in his career, the Culleoka,
Tenn., native shot 66.7 percent from the floor and 1.000 percent
from the foul line in 34.0 minutes of action as the Lions knocked
off Blue Mountain (122-92) and Southern Arkansas (78-72).
Holt began the
week, notching his second double-double of the season behind a
career-high 30 points and a game-best 12 rebounds, while also
dishing out five assists in the win against BMC. He capped the
week, scoring a game-high 19 points and grabbing eight boards
against GSC West Division foe SAU. |
