FLORENCE
– Four
players reached double
digits in scoring as No.
5 Arkansas Tech remained
undefeated on the season
with an 89-76 victory
over the North Alabama
men’s basketball team
Saturday evening at
Flowers Hall. The win
improves the Wonder
Boys’ overall record to
10-0, including a pair
of victories over UNA
(5-5). ATU defeated the
Lions 88-73 on Dec. 5 at
home.
In the rematch, Arkansas
Tech led 46-41 at the

early second-half spurt
by the Lions to claim
the win. A layup by Rory
Miller made the score
55-50 with 13:37 to play
but UNA would get no
closer. A 16-1 run by
the Wonder Boys
increased the lead to
71-56 and ATU remained
in control the rest of
the way.
Daviel Clements and
Jared Strode had 20
points each for the
Lions while Miller
tossed in 19 on the
night. UNA, however,
committed 28 turnovers
leading to 35 ATU
points. The Wonder Boys
also held a 39-29
advantage in rebounding
and got 42 second-chance
points.
The Lions will host
Harding Monday evening
with tip-off set for 6
