BIRMINGHAM
– Rory Miller
scored 25 points to lead the
University of North Alabama
men’s basketball team to a
79-67 road win over Miles
College Monday evening at
Fair-Park Arena in
Birmingham. The 12-point win
evens the Lions’ overall
record at 4-4 on the year.
Miller, a 6-7 forward from
Jesup, Ga., had a game-high
12 points at the half, but
UNA still trailed 35-34. The
deficit marked the fifth
straight game North Alabama
has trailed at the break.
The Lions, however, were
able to rally by hitting
57.7 percent of their shots
over the final 20 minutes.
Miller also led the team
with 14 rebounds and was
joined by Jared Strode, who
added another double-double
for UNA. Strode tossed in 18
points and grabbed 10
boards, including seven in
the second half.
UNA will return home next
Tuesday to face Martin
Methodist. Tip-off is set
for 7 p.m. at Flowers Hall.
