LIONS COME UP SHORT IN OVERTIME (BOX
SCORE)
FLORENCE --
North Alabama missed a potential game-winning shot in the closing
seconds of regulation and couldn't hold on in overtime as the Lions
dropped a 90-85 decision to Montevallo at Flowers Hall. UNA
led 43-39 at the half and held a three-point lead with 58 seconds
left in the game. After a free throw by James Hall, Marcus Kennedy
hit two more with 22 seconds left to tie the game. In overtime,
Montevallo outscored UNA 13-8. A.J. Gordon and Reprobatus
Bibbs led UNA with 27 points eachand Pete Lowe added 11. Hall
led Montevallo with 31, while Kennedy had 25 and Jarmaine Vanness
19. UNA falls to 12-12 overall and 4-7 in the Gulf South
Conference. Montevallo is 19-5 and 9-2. |
