Freshman
from Huntsville receives league honor
Birmingham, Ala.—University of
North Alabama freshman Mally Cash of
Huntsville has been named the first Gulf
South Conference Women's Soccer Defender of
the Week by the league office.
Cash, a
transfer to UNA this season from Troy, began
her UNA career with 159 consecutive
scoreless minutes in goal. She posted a
shutout with three saves in a 1-0 win over
Brewton-Parker and and added eight saves in
a
3-1 win at North Georgia.
So far this
season Cash, who played at Huntsville High
School, has allowed just one goal in 180
minutes of play.
UNA plays at
Troy on Wednesday.
