FLORENCE
-- Junior Alison Woodman scored two goals over a 17-minute span of the second half to help lift the University of North Alabama women's soccer team to a 3-1 win over Lipscomb University at North Florence

The Lions win over the Division I Lady Bison improves UNA's record to 3-0-1 overall entering a big in-region game against nationally ranked Saint Leo on Sunday in Birmingham. UNA, ranked 10th in the Division II South Region, fell behind nine minutes into the second half when Lipscomb's Sarah Brummett scored off a corner kick from Sara Green.
Just four four minutes later, at the 58:36 mark, Woodman scored her first goal of the season from thirty yards
out after a foul.

Woodman scored again at the 75:50 mark on a penalty kick to give UNA a 2-1 advantage. The Lions final goal came off the foot of Allison Post at 80:52 on a ball that was knocked around in front of the goal before Post sent it into the net.

UNA out-shot Lipscomb 20-6 and the Lions had 10 shots on goal. UNA's Mally Cash, who has allowed just two goals in 360 minutes in goal this season, recorded five saves. Lipscomb's Katie Shelton had three saves.
