UNA Falls to Christian Brothers
FLORENCE
-- A shot by freshman Paige Hess that hit
the right post with less than 10 minutes
left in the game ended North Alabama's
scoring threats as the Lions lost to
Christian Brothers 1-0 at North Florence
Park.
The loss, UNA's fifth straight after a 3-0-1
start, drops the Lions to 0-3 in Gulf South
Conference play. Christian Brothers
improved to 6-3 and 1-0.
Courtney Robertson scored the game's only
goal off a pass from Nicole Evans just 9:49
into the game. North Alabama controlled play
for much of the second half but only one of
the Lions' 15 total shots was on goal. CBU
managed just five shots but four were on
goal, with UNA keeper Mally Cash recording
three saves.
UNA plays at Georgia College Friday and
returns home on Tuesday, October 3 to face
West Georgia. .
