Tassia Augusto has been instant offense for
the UNA women's soccer team and has been
honored as the Gulf South Conference Player
of the Week.
The Lions are
off to the first 3-0 start in school history
and Augusto, a Sao Paulo, Brazil native who
transferred from Martin Methodist, has
scored six goals and assisted on four
others.
In two UNA wins
this week, Augusto led the Lions to a 5-0
South Region win over Eckerd in Mobile, Ala.
She scored three goals in that win, then
added a goal and an assist in a 3-2 road win
at Spring Hill.
It is the
second straight week that UNA has had a GSC
Women's Soccer Player of the Week, with
defender Kelli Coffman being honored last
week.
