-- Lynn University netted two goals in a
1:21 span of the second half and held North
Alabama scoreless as the Lions suffered
their first loss of the season, 2-0.
The first half
ended in a scoreless tie, even though Lynn
had eight shots to just one for UNA. The
Lions kept the game scoreless until the
51:45 mark of the second half when Raisa
Kanji put a ball past UNA keeper Carly
Rhodes. Kanji scored again, off an assist
from Sarah Mendelberg, just 1:21 later and
Lynn led 2-0.
UNA got three
shots in the second half but couldn't score
on Lynn goalkeeper Natalie Feller.
With the win,
Lynn improved to 4-1, while UNA fell to 3-1.
It snapped the first three-game winning
streak to start a season in UNA history.
The Lions host
Georgia College and State Sunday at 1 p.m.
