FLORENCE -- Hayley Ferrell scored three goals as Georgia College and State University built a 4-0 lead and held off North Alabama in the second half in a 4-1 win over the Lions in women's soccer.

UNA, now 3-2, fell behind 3-0 in the first half and the Lady Bobcats pushed the advantage to 4-0 less than four minutes into the second period.

The Lions had opportunities down the stretch but Tassia Augusto's penalty kick was deflected away from the goal by Mary Rob Plunkett, and a penalty kick by Claire Bennett went wide left.

The Lions lone goal came from Augusto off a throw-in by Kelli Coffman at 63:21.

Ferrell got the game's first goal at 6:24 off an assist from Beth Coughlin. Ferrell netted her second goal at 20:33 when Jamie Nevin headed a ball forward and Kelli McLane passed it inside.

Nevin got the third goal on a break-away and worked her way past UNA's Carly Rhodes for the goal. Morgan Cobb assisted and it was 3-0 at 35:25.

Erika Kolondin assisted on Ferrell's final goal at 48:22.

UNA was outshot 21-10 in the game.
