AMERICUS, Ga.
-- The University of North Alabama
women's soccer team got a first half goal
and rode it to a 1-0 victory over Georgia
Southwestern Sunday.
The win, UNA's
fourth of the season, snapped a three-game
losing skid after the Lions had opened the
season 3-0. Natalie Sherk, a freshman from
Sarasota, Fla., scored the Lions lone goal
off an assist from Alison Woodman. It was
Sherk's fourth goal of the season.
UNA plays at
Southern Indiana on Wednesday (Sept. 19) and
will not return home until Sept. 28 when the
Lions host Alabama-Huntsville at 6 p.m.
