UNA BATTLES BACK TO EARN TIE

EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- Trailing 2-0 in the second half, the University of North Alabama women's soccer team battled back to earn a 2-2 tie against Southern Indiana Wednesday. UNA allowed two first half goals but managed to tie the game in the 63rd minute. When the game was tied  2-2 at the end of regulation play, the two
teams battled through two additional 10-minute overtime periods before the match ended in a tie.

UNA is now 6-1-1 overall and will return home to open Gulf South Conference play Sunday at home against Ouachita Baptist.

USI got its goals in the 14th and 22nd minutes and continued to lead 2-0 more than ten minutes into the second half. UNA finally got on the board at 56:16 when Chloe Roberts scored off an assist from Tassia Augusto. It was Robert's 12th goal of the season. The Lions tied the game at 62:21 on Tassia Augusto's 10th goal of the season. Nikki Brown assisted and now has nine for the season. Southern Indiana out-shot UNA 25-17 in the match and Alex McLay had 12 saves for the Lions.
