UNA 2005: Roberts made a
team-high 29 appearances on the mound for the Lions as a true
freshman in 2005. She tied for the team lead in victories after
posting a 14-9 record. As a member of the pitching staff, she
topped other categories for the year, including most innings
pitched (152), fewest walks (24) and most strikeouts (113). She
pitched eight innings and scattered five hits during a 4-3 win
over Freed-Hardeman on 3-10. She also had 10 other seven-inning
games in which UNA went 8-2.
HIGH
SCHOOL: Roberts prepped at Hartselle for coach Shane
Alexander. She played first base, third base and pitched for the
Class 5A Tigers, who won state championships in 2002
and 2003. She was named Most Valuable Player of the 2003 state
tournament. She set a number of school records, including most
pitching victories in a career and in a season (22 in 2002), most
strikeouts in a season (130) and best earned-run-average in a
season (0.64 in 2002).

Full name is Sabrina Renae Roberts. Born on May 20, 1986. She is
the daughter of Leonard and Vickie Roberts. Majoring in psychology
