HIGH SCHOOL: Played catcher and infielder for coach Mike Tinker at Deshler High School. Was named captain and the team's MVP her junior and senior seasons. As a senior in 2006, she also recorded the team's highest batting average and received all-county honors. She was also a four-year letter winner in basketball and volleyball for the Class 4A Tigers.

PERSONAL: Her full name is Elizabeth Claire Pounders. She was born on December 7, 1987. She is the daughter of Barbara and the late Doug Pounders and has one sister, Valerie Maxwell. Majoring in computer science at UNA.
