UNA 2008: Sharp had the fourth-higest batting mark last year with a .259 average as a true freshman...she hit a team-high nine doubles...also recorded two home runs and 21 RBI after seeing playing time in 41 games...finished the season with a .500 showing at the the GSC tourney, that won her all-tournament honors...scored nine runs off 30 hits and posted a .388 slugging percentage...was hit by a pitch five times and drew 18 walks...hit two doubles in the conference tournament to complete a 3-for-3 showing against West Florida...also went 3-for-4 on April 6 against 11th-ranked Valdosta State.

HIGH SCHOOL: She played first base and third base at Buckhorn High School for coach Russ Tate..helped lead the Lady Bucks to four straight appearances in the Class 6A state playoffs including a state championship in 2004 and a runner-up finish in 2005...tied with fellow UNA freshman Allie Peterson for most homeruns in a single season with six in the 2007 campaign and also broke the school RBI record the same year..in 2006, hit her 18th career homerun to set a new record at the school...finished her career with a .397 batting average.

PERSONAL: Her full name is Jennifer Louise Sharp. She was born on September 22, 1988. She lives with her grandparents, Reedus and Bobbie Moon and is the daughter of the late Jackie and Phyllis Sharp. She has one brother, Justin. She is majoring in criminal justice at UNA.
