LION SQUADS EACH DOWN UAH, FALL TO VALDOSTA

PENSACOLA, Fla.,
– The University of North Alabama tennis
teams each picked up a split in the second
day of the Gulf South Conference Jamboree
Saturday in Pensacola, Fla. Both Lion squads
knocked off Alabama-Huntsville and fell to a
Top-5 Valdosta State team.
The men’s team
opened the day with a 5-3 win over UAH
before dropping a 5-0 decision to the
third-ranked Blazers. The UNA women started
the day with a 5-0 loss to VSU’s
fifth-ranked women’s team, but rebounded to
knock off the Chargers 5-1.
Both teams will
be in action Sunday against host West
Florida. The UWF men’s team sports a No. 1
national ranking, while the Argonaut women
are ranked fifth.
