LION TENNIS TEAM TO PLAY AT UTC’S STEVE BARAS

CHATTTANOOGA, Tenn.,

The University of North Alabama men’s and
women’s tennis teams will open play at the 26th
Annual Steve Baras Classic Friday on the campus
of Division I Tennessee-Chattanooga. A total of
28 teams from 17 schools will be represented at
the Champions Club in Chattanooga.
The Lions will open with doubles play Friday
morning, followed by singles matches. Play will
conclude with championship matches on Sunday,
Oct. 4.
The men’s side will welcome participants from 14
schools, including Austin Peay, Belmont, Eastern
Kentucky,
Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Lee
University, Lipscomb, Memphis, Mercer, Middle
Tennessee,
Southern Illinois, Tennessee and UNC Greensboro.
On the women's side, the host Mocs are joined by
Austin Peay, Belmont, Eastern Kentucky,
Jacksonville
State, Kennesaw State, Lee University, Lipscomb,
Mercer, Southern Illinois, Tennessee-Martin and
Wofford.
