UNA WOMEN'S TENNIS TEAM MOVES
UP IN NATIONAL RANKINGS
FLORENCE
-- The University of North Alabama women's tennis team has moved up
to No. 25 in the latest NCAA Division II tennis rankings conducted
by the ITA. It is one of the highest national rankings ever for a
UNA women's tennis team. The UNA women are also ranked
fourth in the region. North Alabama's mens team is ranked
sixth in the region. Both squads are expected to receive bids
to the Division II South Regional. The Lion women are 12-8 overall
and tied for third in the Gulf South Conference Tournament while the
UNA men are 9-10 and finished fifth in the GSC.
