PALASAK, SPENCER LEAD LIONS TO SEVENTH
STRAIGHT WIN
FLORENCE, Ala., – North Alabama hit .430 as a team and
picked up 11 service aces during a 3-0 home win over West Alabama
Tuesday night in Gulf South Conference volleyball action.
The 30-14, 30-15, 30-17 victory improved the Lions overall record to
15-5 on the year and a perfect 7-0 in conference play.
Danielle Palasak led UNA with a match-high 12 kills. The junior from
Garden City, Mich., added five aces and just missed a double-double
with eight digs on the night.
Kasie Spencer recorded a .714 hitting percentage and rounded out a
solid match with 11 kills and six blocks. Laura Bellinger paced the
Lions’
offensive attack with 31 assists.
UNA will hit the road for a pair of matches in Searcy, Ark., next
weekend. The Lions will play Ouachita Baptist on Friday at 6 p.m.
before facing Harding the following day at 11 a.m. Both matches will
be played on the Harding campus.
