FLORENCE – The University of North Alabama volleyball
team placed three players on the American Volleyball Coaches
Association (AVCA) first team All-South Central Region squad and
also produced the region’s coach of the year.
Setter Laura
Bellinger, libero Ashley Hill and opposite Megan Stout each got
first-team nods. For Bellinger, it was her second consecutive AVCA
first-team honor. The senior was also named the regional player of
the year by Daktronics.
Hill was an
honorable mention AVCA all-regional selection a year ago, while
Stout earns first-team honors for the second straight season.
UNA head coach
Stephanie Radecki was also named the regional Coach of the Year for
the second straight time. Radecki led the Lions to a 33-5 record
heading into the NCAA Division II Elite Eight tournament. |
