VALDOSTA Ga., – Freshman Katie Haseltine recorded a
career-high 15 kills to lead North Alabama to a 3-0 road win over
Valdosta State Friday evening in Gulf South Conference volleyball
action.
The outside
hitter from Saint Louis, Mo., totaled her 15 kills on 21 attacks and
did not commit an error to record a .714 hitting percentage during
the Lions’ 30-13, 30-21, 30-20 victory. The win gives UNA a 10-9
overall record with a 3-1 mark in GSC play. Valdosta falls to 8-11,
0-3.
Danielle
Palasak also reached double digits in kills for the Lions with 14 on
the night. She added 12 digs to record her 10th double-double of the
season.
Alison Jacobs
added 37 assists for UNA while Jessica Hansen picked up a match-high
14 digs.
Another
freshman, Sarah Roberts, also had a career night, getting 10 blocks
in the three games for the Lions.
UNA will
continue its GSC road swing with a match against East
Division-leading West Florida on Saturday. Match time is set for 5
p.m. at the UWF Fieldhouse.
