The Lions, however, responded, with five straight points to go ahead by one. UWF tied the game at 30-30 on a kill by Kimberly Clark, but at service error and an attack error gave UNA the 32-30 win.

The Argonauts dominated the third game before holding on to win a close game four to take the match. UNA led 15-8 and 21-18 in the final stanza before a rally by the home team closed out the match.
