TEAM DROPS FINAL MATCH AT REGIONAL CROSSOVER

PENSACOLA, Fla.,
– Saint Leo recorded 12 service aces and
held North Alabama to a .047 hitting
percentage during a 3-0 sweep over the Lions
Saturday morning on the final day of the
West Florida Regional Crossover.
After dropping a close opening set at 25-22,
UNA could never find its offensive rhythm
over the next two games, falling 25-12 and
25-14. The Lions failed to get a player in
double digits in kills for the first time
this season. Freshman Cara Gregg led the
team with nine kills and seven digs.
Alison Jacobs recorded 21 assists while
Brigid O’Brien had 15 digs for UNA (3-8).
Lauren Greenhill added 10 digs on the day.
North Alabama will be back in action on
Tuesday with a road match against defending
Division III national champion Emory.
