Sarah Roberts had 17 kills and Cara
Gregg turned in a double-double with
10 kills and a match-high 19 digs as
the University of North Alabama
volleyball team swept Henderson
State 3-0 Friday evening at Flowers
Hall. With the 25-22, 26-24, 25-22
victory, the Lions improve to 5-8 on
the season while the Gulf South
Conference West Division Lady
Reddies fall to 3-9 on the year.
Roberts began the match with six
kills in the opening set and
finished with a .286 hitting
percentage. Gregg, a freshman from
Knoxville, Tenn., recorded her third
double-double of the season,
including her second in as many
matches. She also added a service
ace and an assists on the night.
Alison Jacobs added 41 assists for
UNA
Henderson State was led by Tatiana
Kuhn’s 15 kills and Bethany Wright’s
17 digs.
The
Lions will continue their home stand
Saturday with another match against
a GSC West team. UNA will face
Southern Arkansas at 1 p.m.
