FLORENCE -- North
Alabama held Concordia-Selma to just 10 points in the first half and
the Lions went on to a 71-38 rout of the Hornets in women's
basketball action at Flowers Hall.
UNA, now 10-11,
led 43-10 at intermission and held on to win by that 33-point
margin.
Kierra McCleary
led a balanced scoring attack with 13 points and Shay Ashford added
eight points and 10 rebounds and Danae Lawrence scored 10 points.
UNA dominated the
boards with a 50-38 rebounding edge. UNA shot just 40 percent from
the floor but made 10 three-point baskets to just three for
Concordia. The Hornets hit just 13 of their 61 shots from the floor.
