MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- After turning in a solid first
half, the University of North Alabama women's basketball team could
only muster 15 points over the final 20 minutes and dropped an
exhibition game 82-36 at Middle Tennessee State.
The Lions trailed the Division I Blue Raiders just 33-21 at the half
but were outscored 49-15 in the second half and failed to make a
single three-point attempt in the game.
UNA was led by Tandra Inmon with 11 points. Amber Rutherford added
nine and Danae Lawrence had eight. Anne Marie Lanning led four MTSU
players in double-figures with 18.
UNA was 12-of-45 from the floor for 27 percent and was 0-for-7 on
three-point attempts. The Lions were out- rebounded 54-30.
North Alabama will play at Seattle Pacific in its season-opener on
November 16. |
