North Alabama women’s
basketball team shot 54
percent from the floor
with all 13 players on
the roster scoring as
the Lions defeated
Concordia-Selma 90-52
Saturday afternoon at
Flowers Hall. With the
win UNA climbs back
above the .500 mark for
the season with an 11-10
record. Concordia falls
to 2-13 with the loss.
The Lions built a 46-23
lead at the half by
connecting on 10-of-18
shots from three-point
range. Kierra McCleary
hit a trio of
three-pointers to score
nine of her game-high 11
points in the opening
half. In the second
half, the Lions emptied
their bench, but still
hit 53.6 percent from
the floor and was
12-of-18 from the free
throw line.
Sarah Bailey and Dana
Jackson added 10 points
each for North Alabama.
UNA will hit the road
for another
non-conference match-up
on Thursday. The Lions
will take on Lambuth
with tip-off set for 6
p.m. in Jackson, Tenn.
