pulled away late fior a
74-51 win over the
Tornadoes.
UNA, now 12-11, led by
six at the half with a
36-30 advantage. The
game remained close
early in the second half
before the Lions pulled
away for a 23-point
victory. The Lions
outscored Talladega
38-21 over the final 20
minutes. Talladega falls
to 12-10 with the loss.
Niala Harris led UNA
with 20 points, six
rebounds and two
assists. Kierra McLeary
was the only other Lion
in double-figures with
14 points.
After hitting just 10 of
26 shots from the floor
in the first half, UNA
stepped up its shooting
to 56 percent in the
second half. Talladega
shot only 37 percent
from the floor in the
first half and 23
percent in the second
half (7-of-30).
UNA made nine
three-point baskets in
the game, led by McLeary
with three.
Whitney Love led
Talladega with 20 points
and Tamiko Round had 11.
