LION VOLLEYBALL FALLS AT UAH

HUNTSVILLE – North Alabama's 12-match winning streak came to a crashing halt Thursday evening at UAH. The host Chargers stunned UNA with a 25-21, 25-22, 25-23 sweep in front of 293 fans at Spragins Hall.
 
UNA hit a season-low .089 as a team to fall to 12-3 overall and 6-1 in Gulf South Conference play. It was the first loss since opening weekend for the Lions as UAH won for just the 16th time in 68 all-time meetings.
 
The Chargers were led by Olivia Bauman's 10 kills, and improved to 12-3 overall and 3-3 in league action.
 
Peyton Lang led the Lions with a match-high 11 kills. The junior also hit .526 for the match to reach double figures for the fourth time this season. Andrea De Leon added 26 assists and 11 digs for North Alabama.
 
UNA will play at Mississippi College at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
