VOLLEYBALL LIONS SWEEP UNION

JACKSON, Tenn., – Four players recorded eight kills each as the University of North Alabama volleyball team improved to 10-2 on the season with a 3-0 sweep over Union. The 25-13, 25-15, 25-17 victory is the 10th straight for the Lions, who also remain perfect in GSC play at 4-0 on the year.
 
Jessica Austin, Natasha Fomina, Lexie Bradley and Victoria Quintanilla each collected eight kills in the balanced UNA offensive attack. As a team, the Lions hit .397 for the match, including a season-best .526 showing in the second set.
 
Senior setter Andrea De Leon recorded 30 kills while Ashtyn Kapovich led the defensive efforts with 10 digs on the night.
 
UNA will remain on the road to face Christian Brothers on Saturday. Match time is set for 1 p.m. at Canale Arena on the CBU campus.
