LIVINGSTON – Three North Alabama players reached double figures in kills as the Lions picked up a 25-20, 25-20, 25-17 road sweep at West Alabama Tuesday in Gulf South Conference volleyball action. The 3-0 victory completed the season sweep over the Tigers and stopped a two-match losing streak as UNA improved to 16-3 on the season and 8-3 in GSC play.

Natasha Fomina led the way with 15 kills for the Lions. The senior from Broomfield, Colo., hit .464 for the match, adding a block and a service ace along the way. Jessica Austin and Lexie Bradley added 10 kills each for UNA.

Setter Jayden Davila-McClary produced 43 assists in just three sets as the Lions recorded a .385 team hitting percentage. Defensively, Peyton Lang led the way with 13 digs. She also added eight kills.

Briana Sandifer led West Alabama (12-8 overall, 5-6 GSC) with 12 kills and five digs.

North Alabama will now turn its attention to the South Region Crossover in Orlando. The Lions will play a trio of Sunshine State Conference teams, beginning with Barry on Friday at 4:45 p.m. The following day, UNA will face Eckerd at 12:15 p.m. and Saint Leo at 4:45 p.m. Match times are Eastern.
