UNA VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS WEST GEORGIA

FLORENCE – A strong offensive showing by the University of North Alabama volleyball team led to a 3-0 win over West Georgia Tuesday evening at Flowers Hall. The Lions hit .413 as a team with 49 kills in the 25-16, 25-11, 25-14 Gulf South Conference victory. The win was also head coach Stephanie Radecki's 300th of her career.
 
Lexie Bradley and Natasha Fomina combined for 31 kills as the Lions completed the season sweep over UWG. With the win, UNA improves to 19-4 overall and 9-3 in GSC play.
 
Bradley, who led the Lions with 16 kills, added a pair of service aces and hit .636 on the night. She recorded 10 kills in the second set alone. Fomina had six kills in the opening set and finished the match with 15. The duo also teamed up for four blocks against the Wolves.
 
Setter Jayden Davila-McClary recorded 41 assists as UNA hit over .400 as a team for the fourth time this season. Ashtyn Kapovich had a match-high 14 digs, including seven in the final set.
 
Paige Berriochoa led West Georgia (4-18 overall, 1-11 GSC) with six kills on the night.
 
UNA will host Lee Friday at 6 p.m. and Shorter the following day at 1 p.m.
